Encounters Asia is an established family operated company for over 30 years whose primary focus is creating exclusive and private journeys into the enchanting lands of Asia. Specializing in luxury travel throughout India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan, Encounters Asia customizes your own personal adventure, with a focus on experience-based travel. Unknown festivals and elusive predators have become a big focus for us. We own and operate camps and lodges in remote locations and wilderness areas.

Outcomes

  • We have grown our network by meeting like-minded people at Adventure Travel World Summits or AdventureConnects.
  • ATTA Team has been instrumental in connecting us with foreign operators to offer product that would be right for them.
  • The Summits have resulted in great exposure for us as each year takes us to a new destination. It is very useful to understand how ground operators in different countries operate and that we actually face common problems in which we can easily help each other.
  • Exposure to media for our lodges has been excellent. Write-ups have been published in many blogs, Forbes Life, Outside, etc.

Tangible Results

  • The sense of community that ATTA has created helps us grow steadily every year. ATTA members across the world help connect us to their partners and we do the same for them. This pre-introduction, to any meeting, gives us much more credit than an introductory email.
  • In crisis situations, ATTA has helped spread the word about the actual situation on the ground. For example, the 2015 AdventureWeek Rebound Nepal week put together by the ATTA community was a big boost for a small country like Nepal.

Future Vision

  • To build an experiential travel company which thinks beyond the regular tours or expeditions.
  • To set a standard of operation where we become the leaders in our field.

  • To find the right partners who share similar values and philosophy. They learn from us and we from them in order to advance towards a similar goal.
